Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American producer and actor, has been known for her roles in the feature film Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She earned a B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue is an American actress, producer and director who has worked in both film and television. Aunjanue. Ellis began her acting in the theater. Then, she appeared in television programs in independent as well as mainstream film. She became famous as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she received critical acclaim and a variety of nominations and awards, including her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. Her career began acting in 1995 as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. The credits on stage comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. Her film work is highlighted by her performances as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. In television, her role in the ABC's crime drama High Incident is well known.
